A selection of 316 Grade Stainless Steel Metallic Balls. A4 Grade. Very low magnetic permeability. Resistant to severe corrosive conditions. Excellent welding and brazing qualities.

  • Grades shown are AFBMA and ISO3290-1 which relates primarily to the ovality of the ball rather than the diametrical tolerance
  • General balls offered for sale may be from different ball lots, so the diametrical tolerance shown, indicates a variance that might be encountered if balls of different gauges are mixed, unless a ball gauge is specified for the part.
  • For diametrically critical applications, a special quote can be obtained for balls of a specified ball gauge.
  • Hardness: Rockwell C: 25-39. Specific Gravity: 7.972.
  • Low magnetic permeability. Resistant to severe corrosive conditions. Excellent welding and brazing qualities.
  • Note! Increase in magnetic permeability may occur due to the grinding process and can be releived by heating to over 1000 oC.
