- Helical spring that absorbs and stores energy by resisting a pulling force. When extended, it stores energy, and when released, it redistributes that energy to return to its original, coiled shape.

- 302 Stainless springs not recommended for applications exceeding 260 Deg C (500 Deg F).
- 302 stainless steel is slightly magnetic.
